The St. Louis Blues are facing another early-season setback as forward Dillon Dube is expected to be sidelined for an extended period following a neck injury.
Blues General Manager Alexander Steen announced Saturday, October 10, that the 28-year-old forward will be re-evaluated in eight weeks after suffering the injury during Thursday's 3–2 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks.
Despite the injury, Dube scored a shorthanded goal during the game—his first of the season. He has appeared in three games for St. Louis this year and has recorded 128 points in 328 career NHL games, including 58 goals and 70 assists.
The injury adds to a growing list of challenges for the Blues, who are also missing Alexey Toropchenko, Logan Mailloux, and Tyler Tucker. Forward Zach Dean is expected to step into the lineup as the team looks to its depth to keep moving forward.
🏒 What's Next for the Blues? With several players sidelined, younger talent will have an opportunity to step up as St. Louis navigates the opening weeks of the 2026–27 season.
💙 Blues fans will be watching closely as the team adjusts and looks to build momentum!
