Events will be held from 9:00 AM to noon in the First Floor Conference Room at 1520 Market Street.
Before attending, be sure to:
Dress professionally
Bring several copies of your résumé
Create or update your profile at jobs.mo.gov
These events are a great opportunity to meet employers face-to-face and learn about current job openings throughout the region.
Explore Queeny Park with the Hunt-and-Sketch Challenge 🌳✏️🔎

There’s still time to join the Hunt-and-Sketch Passport Challenge at Queeny Park! 🌳✏️
Pick up a passport at the Greensfelder Recreation Complex, then follow clue-filled prompts throughout the park to discover local landmarks and sketch what you find. The challenge is self-paced, so you can explore on your own schedule anytime through the end of August.
Once you complete your passport, return it to claim a prize. And if you’re looking to keep the fun going, the nearby playground makes a great next stop.
Dates: August 3–31
Cost: $5 per person, including supplies

Chesterfield Teen’s Spice Company Goes from Local Startup to National Shelves 🌶️🚀

A business that started with a Chesterfield teenager and a love of food, travel, and entrepreneurship is now going national. 🌶️🚀
Andrew Rubin launched State Street Spices at just 16 years old while attending Parkway Central High School. Now 19 and studying business administration and statistics at Mizzou, Rubin has grown the company from local craft fairs to shelves at retailers including Dierbergs and Fresh Thyme Market.
The company offers four blends inspired by American food destinations: Buffalo Buffalo, Los Angeles Taco, New York Steak, and St. Louis Barbecue. Rubin says each blend requires about 80 hours of research to capture the food culture of its namesake city.
This fall marks another major milestone: a State Street Spices gift box is expected to be available at World Market stores nationwide. The company also gives back locally, donating 10% of its profits to children’s hospitals in Missouri.
It’s an impressive journey for a business that began right here in Chesterfield — and another example of a young local entrepreneur turning an idea into something much bigger.
