🐾 Fee-Waived Dog Adoption Event

The Saint Louis County Pet Adoption Center is hosting an emergency fee-waived adoption event to help find loving homes for dogs in its care.
From July 20–24, all dog adoption fees will be waived, making it easier than ever to welcome a new furry family member. To give more people an opportunity to meet the available pets, the adoption center will also offer extended hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the event.
Every adoption creates space for another animal in need, helping the shelter continue its lifesaving work. If you've been considering adding a pet to your family, now is the perfect time to make a difference.

The James S. McDonnell Planetarium is reaching for the stars with the debut of the first and only GOTO Chiron III star projector in the United States, launching Saturday, July 18.
Paired with the new Cosm Digistar 2026 system, the state-of-the-art technology creates the largest and most advanced hybrid planetarium experience in the country, capable of recreating all 9,500 stars visible to the naked eye with breathtaking color and realism.
The upgraded system continues the Planetarium's long tradition of innovation, dating back to its original GOTO projector installed in 1963.
