Rockwood FBLA Students Prepare for
National Competition

More than 50 students from Rockwood's four high schools are headed to the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference after qualifying for the prestigious competition.
Ahead of the event, students gathered at Rockwood Summit High School on June 18 for a National Preparation Workshop. The session included guidance from Rockwood Coordinator of Professional Learning Abby Smith and Saint Louis University marketing professor Dr. Brad Carlson. Students also had the opportunity to refine their projects and practice their presentations with feedback from Rockwood representatives.
The FBLA National Leadership Conference is taking place now through July 2 in San Antonio, Texas, where Rockwood students will compete against top qualifiers from across the country.
Congratulations to all of the students, and best of luck as they represent Rockwood on the national stage!
Plan Ahead for America's Birthday Parade

Thousands are expected to line the streets for America's Birthday Parade, which steps off at 4 p.m. from 14th Street and Market Street before making its way toward the Gateway Arch grounds.
Attendees are encouraged to plan their travel in advance, as road closures will be in effect along the parade route. Organizers recommend using MetroLink or rideshare services to make getting to and from the event easier.
With hot summer temperatures expected, paradegoers should come prepared by wearing lightweight, light-colored clothing, applying sunscreen, and bringing handheld fans. Factory-sealed water bottles or empty refillable bottles (up to one liter) are permitted, as are small handheld umbrellas.
Families are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, strollers, or wagons for young children to stay comfortable while enjoying the festivities. Organizers will provide updates throughout the day, including any weather-related announcements.
Sounds of Summer Concert Series Opens with Memorable Performances

The Chesterfield Amphitheater's Sounds of Summer Concert Series got off to a strong start on June 27, featuring an opening performance by the Danny Liston Project before headliner Clapton Chronicles took the stage.
Danny Liston was joined by a talented lineup of veteran St. Louis musicians for the performance, which also included the debut of new music from an upcoming EP set to be released later this year.
The concert marked the beginning of another summer season of live music at the Chesterfield Amphitheater, drawing fans for an evening of classic rock, original music, and community entertainment.
