Swimmers, cyclists, and runners can mark their calendars now. The St. Luke's New Town Triathlon returns to New Town St. Charles on July 11-12, 2026.
The weekend kicks off with a Kids Triathlon and Expo on July 11, followed by the main event on July 12. Participants can choose between a sprint or long-course race on a fast, flat course designed for athletes of all experience levels.
Those looking to sharpen their skills before race day can take part in the Open Water Swim Series, held Saturdays through June 27.

A popular Chesterfield destination could soon offer guests more opportunities to enjoy its outdoor spaces.
Old House in Hog Hollow has requested approval from the City of Chesterfield to extend its outdoor seating hours and make changes that would allow for additional outdoor dining and events. The historic property, which was restored and reopened by local owners Scott and Shelley Ririe, has become known for its food, wine, live music, and unique atmosphere.
City officials reviewed the proposal as part of the zoning and planning process. Supporters say the changes would enhance the guest experience and help the business continue growing as a community gathering spot, while nearby residents have raised questions about potential noise and activity levels.
The request remains under consideration as city leaders weigh the benefits of expanded outdoor operations against concerns from surrounding neighborhoods.
Rockwood Seeks Sponsors for New Community Connectors Program

Rockwood School District is inviting local businesses and community leaders to support the inaugural Community Connectors Class of 2027.
The district is currently seeking Key Sponsors for the 2026-27 program, which is designed to engage and connect local leaders with Rockwood schools and the broader community.
Businesses that contribute at the $1,000 sponsorship level will receive year-round recognition, including logo placement on program materials, promotional items, digital content, and district communications.
According to the district, sponsorship funds will help cover program materials, meals, and resources for participants throughout the nine-month initiative.
The deadline to become a Key Sponsor is Aug. 1.
