Extreme Heat Warning in St. Louis

An extreme heat warning is in effect for the St. Louis region, and residents are encouraged to take precautions and stay cool.
Anyone in need of a safe place to escape the heat can dial 211 or visit 211helps.org/cooling-sites/ to find nearby cooling centers and other local resources.
Residents are also encouraged to check on neighbors, older adults, and others who may be especially vulnerable during periods of extreme heat.
Rockwood Educators Develop Leadership Skills Through Ignite Program

Members of the Ignite Rockwood Leadership program recently spent two days building relationships, identifying and reflecting on their strengths, participating in team-building activities, and discussing leadership styles and strategies.
The program is designed for Rockwood School District educators who aspire to become building or district administrators, helping participants strengthen the skills and connections needed for future leadership roles.

Bees Create a Buzz on a Chesterfield Highway

Drivers in Chesterfield encountered an unusual sight Tuesday as a large load of bees traveled through the area by highway. Chesterfield Police shared photos of the unexpected travelers and explained that the bees were being transported to orchards and other agricultural areas where they will help with pollination.
Transporting bees by road is a normal part of agricultural operations, although Chesterfield officers noted that the loads are typically moved during cooler hours rather than during the daytime.
The sight made for a memorable local moment—and plenty of buzz around Chesterfield. 🐝
