The Sounds of Summer Free Concert Series continues on Saturday, August 22, with Backstoppalooza at the Chesterfield Amphitheater.

The evening will feature Mississippi Moon: A Tribute to the Doobie Brothers, with opening artist Tyler Lewis. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., music begins at 6:30 p.m., and Mississippi Moon takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The free event supports BackStoppers, Inc., which provides financial assistance and ongoing support to the families of police officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty. Since 2013, Backstoppalooza has raised more than $760,000 for the organization.

Guests can support the cause through food and beverage purchases, a 50/50 raffle, t-shirt sales, and additional donations throughout the evening.

No tickets are required, though all guests will pass through a security checkpoint. Attendees may bring their own snacks and beverages, but no full meals or glass containers are permitted.
