Learning how to stay safe can be fun! Students and families from Parkway School District's Early Childhood program recently enjoyed a special visit to the West County EMS & Fire Protection District's Community Outreach Safety House, where they explored important lessons about fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
Coordinated by Parents as Teachers (PAT), the hands-on educational experience gave young learners an opportunity to discover how to recognize potential fire hazards, understand basic safety practices, and learn why having an emergency plan matters.
The visit combined education, community connection, and interactive learning, helping families build awareness and confidence around fire safety.
🚒 A big thank-you to Parents as Teachers for organizing the experience and to the dedicated West County firefighters and first responders who work to keep local families safe!
❤️ It's another great example of our community coming together to help children learn, grow, and stay safe!
