🌳 Chesterfield Invites Residents to Help Shape the Future “Grand Entry” 🏙️✨

What should the future connection between Downtown Chesterfield and Central Park look and feel like? The City of Chesterfield is inviting residents to help answer that question at an upcoming community open house.
The proposed “Grand Entry” would create a new pedestrian connection between Downtown Chesterfield and Central Park while navigating approximately 48 feet of elevation. But city leaders envision much more than simply a path from one destination to another.
Plans could transform the connection into a distinctive public space featuring native landscaping, public art, gathering areas and places to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The goal is to create a landmark that reflects Chesterfield’s identity and character.
Residents will have an opportunity to see the current vision, ask questions and share their own ideas directly with city staff and the project consultant.

Whether you have ideas about landscaping, public art, gathering spaces or the overall experience, this is an opportunity to have a voice in shaping a future Chesterfield landmark.

A piece of rock ’n’ roll history is headed to Chesterfield this weekend. Mike Campbell, co-founder and longtime guitarist of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, will bring his band The Dirty Knobs to The Factory on Sunday, September 20.
Campbell spent decades alongside Tom Petty and helped shape the unmistakable guitar sound behind the Heartbreakers. For the Chesterfield performance, he’ll be joined by fellow former Heartbreaker Steve Ferrone, giving fans a chance to hear music connected to that legendary catalog alongside songs from Campbell’s work with The Dirty Knobs.
The show is part of Campbell and The Dirty Knobs’ “Mission of Mercy” tour and offers St. Louis-area rock fans an opportunity to experience one of the musicians behind some of classic rock’s most recognizable recordings.
