A new career in the classroom could be just eight weeks away! 🍎📚
Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), is offering a FREE, DESE-approved 80-hour Substitute Teacher and Paraprofessional Certification Training Course.
The eight-week, in-person program provides an alternative path to certification for eligible individuals who may not meet traditional college credit requirements. Participants will learn practical skills and classroom techniques designed to help them step into a school setting with confidence.
Classes are held Monday through Wednesday, with participants choosing either the 1–4 p.m. or 6–9 p.m. session at the Community Learning Center, 13157 N. Olive Spur Road in Creve Coeur.
Upcoming sessions run Oct. 26–Dec. 16, Jan. 4–March 10, and March 10–May 12. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible to work in the United States.
👩🏫 Whether you’re looking for a career change, flexible work, or an opportunity to make a difference in local schools, this free program could be your first step into the classroom.
