Belmont Women's Tennis Coach to Join Missouri State Athletics Hall of Fame

Belmont University women's tennis head coach Ellie Burger is set to be inducted into the Missouri State Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the university's 2026–27 class, recognizing an outstanding career both on and off the court.
A Chesterfield native, Burger enjoyed a decorated playing career at Missouri State, where she became a three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference selection, captured the 2019 MVC No. 3 singles title, and helped lead the Bears to a conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Following graduation, she returned as head coach, guiding the program to 20 dual-match victories over two seasons before taking the helm at Belmont in 2024.
In her first season with the Bruins, Burger led Belmont to a 5-3 conference record and an appearance in the Missouri Valley Conference Championship semifinals. She will officially be inducted into the Missouri State Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony on September 18 in Springfield, Missouri.
Pedal the Cause Training Ride Coming Through Chesterfield Saturday

If you're traveling around Chesterfield on Saturday, August 1, be prepared to share the road with cyclists participating in the annual Pedal the Cause Training Ride. Riders are expected to travel through the city between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. as they prepare for the organization's fundraising cycling event.
The training route includes several major roads throughout Chesterfield, including Clayton Road, Schoettler Road, Chesterfield Parkway, Burkhardt Place, Wild Horse Creek Road, Baxter Road, Chesterfield Airport Road, Boone's Crossing, and The District. A water refueling station will also be available for riders at Logan Park.
No roads will be closed during the ride, and participants will be following all traffic laws. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution, slow down, and give cyclists plenty of space when passing to help ensure a safe morning for everyone on the road.
