🚧 Wilson Avenue Closure Begins Monday in Chesterfield

Chesterfield drivers who regularly travel Wilson Avenue should prepare for a road closure beginning Monday, October 26.
The City of Chesterfield announced Thursday that Wilson Avenue will be closed to traffic between Todd Evan Trail and Walnut Hill Farm Drive.
The closure affects a neighborhood road rather than a major interstate, but that doesn't mean its impact will be insignificant for residents who use the route to reach their homes, schools or other destinations.
Drivers who normally pass through the affected section should plan an alternate route and allow additional travel time once the closure begins.
The announcement is also a reminder that local road projects can affect everyday travel even when the work is limited to a relatively short stretch of pavement.
Residents living near the affected section may want to review the city's latest updates before Monday morning, particularly if they rely on Wilson Avenue for their regular commute.
The city has announced the closure in advance, but the road is not yet confirmed closed as of this edition.
Motorists should follow posted signs and avoid entering barricaded work areas.
🎨 56 Rockwood Student Artists Earn Districtwide Recognition

Creativity is taking center stage across the Rockwood School District, where 56 pieces of student artwork have been selected for a special districtwide exhibition.
The second annual Principals' Choice District Art Exhibit recognizes students from 29 elementary, middle and high schools.
The selected works were originally entered in school and regional art shows last spring. School principals then chose pieces to represent their buildings in the district exhibition.
The framed artwork is now displayed throughout both floors and the stairwells of Rockwood's Administrative Annex in Eureka.
For the students involved, the recognition provides an opportunity to see their creative work celebrated beyond the classroom.
Before the October 15 Board of Education meeting, students and their families were invited to a reception where they could tour the exhibit and receive congratulations from district leaders.
This year's exhibition also introduced a new distinction.
Members of the Rockwood Board of Education and district leadership selected 15 pieces for additional recognition.
Several Chesterfield-area schools are represented, including Chesterfield Elementary, Marquette High School, Lafayette High School and other Rockwood schools serving West County families.
Among the recognized students are Easton Moore of Chesterfield Elementary, whose work received an Assistant Superintendent's Choice designation, and Marquette student Charlie Parrish, whose artwork earned the Fine Arts Coordinator's Choice recognition.
Other Marquette students honored in the exhibit include Ally Carns, Sabrina Larue, Kaitlyn Markillie, Aidan Ries, Vidhee Soneta and Lindsay Wang.
The exhibition highlights the breadth of artistic talent across the district, from younger students discovering their creative abilities to high school students developing more advanced techniques.
It also demonstrates how school arts programs provide opportunities for students to express ideas and earn recognition in ways that extend beyond traditional academic achievement.
For Chesterfield families, the exhibit offers a reason to celebrate the young artists whose work is helping brighten district spaces.
🎉 Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World Is Coming to Chesterfield in 2027

A new family entertainment destination is on its way to Chesterfield, bringing a different kind of experience from the traditional Chuck E. Cheese arcade.
The company has announced plans to open Chuck E. Cheese Adventure World in Chesterfield during 2027 as part of a nationwide expansion.
The new concept focuses on active indoor play, with large climbing structures, slides, imaginative themed areas and spaces designed for birthday parties and family gatherings.
Adventure World made its debut in Arlington, Texas, in November 2025. Following that opening, Chuck E. Cheese announced plans to introduce the concept to more than 20 communities across the United States during 2026 and 2027.
Chesterfield is among the cities selected for the next wave of locations.
The new playground concept typically features 12,000 to 18,000 square feet or more of space dedicated to physical activity, exploration and family entertainment.
Children can explore themed environments inspired by familiar Chuck E. Cheese characters, including space adventures, underwater settings, castles and jungle-themed play areas.
The company also plans to incorporate food service, birthday celebrations and group activities into the experience.
For Chesterfield families, the announcement could mean another indoor entertainment option, particularly during hot summer days, cold winter weather and rainy weekends.
Unlike a traditional arcade, the Adventure World concept places a greater emphasis on movement, climbing and imaginative play.
The expansion also reflects continued interest from national entertainment businesses in the Chesterfield market.
However, families will need to wait a little longer before making plans to visit.
The company has not announced an exact Chesterfield address, opening date or local admission prices.
