Marquette High School's boys soccer team is preparing for an exciting postseason matchup as the Mustangs open the Class 4 District 2 tournament against Eureka on Saturday, October 31. The game is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Ladue West Campus in Creve Coeur. Marquette enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed with a 13-8-1 record, while Eureka holds the No. 7 seed. The Mustangs will look to build on their 3-2 regular-season victory over the Wildcats earlier this month.
Saturday's matchup presents an opportunity for Marquette to continue its season and advance in district competition. Although the Mustangs have won their last three meetings against Eureka, the Wildcats have historically been a challenging postseason opponent. The district tournament continues through November 7, with the Class 4 state tournament scheduled for later in November. Local families and supporters have another chance to cheer on student-athletes representing the Chesterfield community.
