St. Louis Basketball Comedy “The Streak” Seeks 1,800 Local Extras 🎬🏀✨
St. Louis is getting a little Hollywood spotlight! 🎬🏀
An upcoming basketball comedy called “The Streak” is filming around St. Louis, with Saint Louis University serving as one of the key locations. The movie is based on the true story of the Caltech men’s basketball team and its effort to end a decades-long conference losing streak.
Producers are looking for up to 1,800 volunteer extras to help fill the stands during basketball scenes. Volunteers must be 18 or older and be able to commit to a filming window of about five hours. Professional comedians and giveaways are also planned to help keep the crowd entertained between takes.
Filming dates for volunteer crowd scenes include September 22, 23, and 24, and those dates are still accepting sign-ups as of the latest casting update. No acting experience is required.
It’s a fun opportunity for local basketball fans and movie lovers to be part of a major production filming right here in St. Louis. 🎥✨

St. Louis County Library Hosts September Diaper Drive to Support Local Families 👶💙🧷

St. Louis County Library is helping local families this September with a month-long Diaper Drive benefiting the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank. 👶💙
Community members are encouraged to donate diapers and training pants at any SLCL branch, with sizes 5 and 6 diapers and training pants of all sizes especially needed. Partial and open packs are welcome, making it easy to donate what you already have at home.
Throughout the month, simply drop off your donation at your local St. Louis County Library branch and help provide an essential need for families across the region.
