New Arrival at Lone Elk Park:
Bison Calf Joins the Herd

There's a new reason to smile at Lone Elk Park! One of the park's bison mamas welcomed a beautiful new calf on Saturday, adding another member to the herd.
For now, the little one is staying close to its mother, so park staff haven't been able to determine whether it's a bull or a heifer. The good news is that both mom and calf appear healthy and are doing well.
If you're planning a visit to Lone Elk Park, be sure to give the herd plenty of space and admire the newest arrival from a safe distance. Keeping your distance helps ensure the safety and well-being of both the animals and visitors.
We're excited to celebrate this special addition to the park and look forward to sharing more updates as the calf grows.

Congratulations to Woerther Elementary on being recognized as one of the top 10 fundraising schools in Missouri for this year's American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge!
The Kids Heart Challenge encourages students to build lifelong heart-healthy habits, learn lifesaving skills, and make a positive impact in their communities. Through their outstanding fundraising efforts, Woerther students helped support the American Heart Association's mission to improve heart health and provide resources for children with special hearts.
