On September 19, St. Louis County Parks and Recreation, Great Rivers Greenway, the Missouri Department of Conservation, and community partners are inviting residents to help identify and record as many species as possible within a 24-hour period.
From birds and bugs to plants and pollinators, participants will explore the Mississippi Greenway/Cliff Cave Park area while contributing to a fun, hands-on community science effort.

A St. Louis summertime favorite is celebrating a major milestone! š¢
The Screaminā Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis is marking 50 years of thrills, drops, and unforgettable memories. The legendary wooden coaster first opened on April 10, 1976, just five years after the park debuted as Six Flags Over Mid-America.
Designed by renowned coaster designer John Allen, the Screaminā Eagle made history when it opened, earning Guinness World Records as the longest, tallest, and fastest roller coaster in the world at the time.
Five decades later, the ride is still delivering classic coaster thrills:
Climb 110 feet into the air
Race across nearly 3,900 feet of wooden track
Reach speeds of up to 62 mph
Take on drops of up to 92 feet
For generations of St. Louis families, Screaminā Eagle has become a true summer tradition ā one that parents remember riding as kids and can now experience with their own families.
